the case for the kindle works fine i like it because it protects the screen well would have been nice to have been able to choose another colour say white or a nice pattern colour

As many others have pointed out, being held in with magnets just doesn’t work. Mine falls out of the case pretty much three times a day. It would be better protected if I just held it directly rather than put it in this case. I have to assume that no one in the design team tested this.

Seriously, everyone loves to complain about anything new! The cover is perfect and the magnets hold the kindle securely in place. Buy it!

Cannot believe )1 who designed this case and thought it was acceptable, and 2) Amazon have this for sale as their preferred case for the Scribe. .
The Scribe RESTS, yes rests in the case, the so called magnets are not strong enough to hold it in place. Not even close. While this doesn’t sound like this is the end of the world, in the one day I’ve been using it I had to rescue the Scribe on more than one occasion from falling out.
I envisage disasters with this. It’s not designed to do that job intended.
The pen loop on the outside is also a fail.
Did Amazon do zero market research on the Scribe and this case.
Such a fail. I’m very disappointed in Amazon and this will make me rethink any further purchases.

I’ve never done a product review before but the cheapness of this product compelled me to do a brief review. I paid £54.99 for a bit of compressed cardboard or similar material with magnetic properties covered in a denim like fabric. I really don’t think it is worth the money I paid for it.

Although there is a strong bond between the kindle and the case, there are time when it has come off the case accidentally, all of which could be prevented by small brackets near the magnets.

I have been using the Kindle Scribe and this cover for several weeks. My experience with this cover was horrible. The magnetic function was weak that could not hold the Kindle Scribe properly. The Kindle can easily fall off its cover during using and handling. The cover failed to protect the Kindle except for decorative purposes. The price of $99 is overpriced as the cover is completely useless.

This cover is useless. The Scribe slides right out. Rather horrifying at the price of it. It’s hanging on to its base by four tiny magnets which aren’t strong enough to hold onto the scribe. How can this rubbish be even acceptable by Amazon? Sending it straight back.

Magnets are not strong. Kindle can easily dislodge while hold with case open or closed. The folding feature is unstable and collapses 30% of the time.
I like that the case flips up and has the secure pen loop. But I think a snap on design would be far more secure and they med to work out the folding so it doesn’t collapse so frequently.
Expensive for such a suboptimal case.

The kindle is only held in the case by magnetism. A small jolt and it falls out! Carried in briefcase today and kindle and cover parted company in transit…… I bought the cover to protect the kindle, but feel that it is mor likely to lose the kindle and damage it.

Very poorly designed cover. It is magnetic and magnets are not strong enough to hold Kindle in place. Kindle falls off the case every few minutes.
