I love that fact that this has both a slot and adaptor for reading regular SD cards, as well as being able to read microSD cards. I needed it to retrieve some old photos etc off an old smartphone and it worked a treat – very easy to use, it seems quite well built and the keyring and cap protectors are nice to have. No issues with it so far – quite happy overall for the price I paid for it.

Came nicely packaged, and of good quality. Very easy to use. Simply added my micro-SD card to the adapter and plug in. I use it for checking video files from my car dashcam. Use it in USB 3.0 slot and copied at 83-85 MB/s

I needed this equipment because I am regularly producing braille ready files for a blind friend. Our early work together meant that the micro SD card was being handled a lot as we inserted it and extracted it from my laptop. The micro card needed to then be inserted into an adaptor which entailed even more handling! This card reader enables me to create the braille ready card from my USB port still in its adapter, so no handling required for the SD card! I can then simply hand over the completed adapter (with SD card file ready) to my blind friend and he inserts it into his braille Reader. The micro SD card is kept safe and clean using this Card Reader. I am extremely pleased with it in our situation!

Used with an OTG phone adapter this is perfect for transferring photos/docs/etc from/to a phone.
It is reasonably fast and I use it to back up my phones photos onto a SD card and to transfer/view action camera photos from the camera to the phone – from where they can then be backed up again to an SD card.
I found this so useful on holiday! Using a 256GB SD card I had space for all my photos.
In addition(!), my PC will only read SD cards up to 32GB, therefore I just plug any larger card into this and plug it into any USB3 slot and it reads/transfers the data without issue.
Recommended.

I still take a lot of photos on a “proper” camera rather than just on a mobile and need to download them from time to time to my PC. Using the cable provided with the camera (even if it can be found easily among all the cables one has these days for multiple devices) is a real palaver so I thought I’d look for something easier. This little usb stick is just the job. You just take the memory card out of the camera, pop it into the side of the stick, plug into a PC USB port and the job is done. The stick can then be kept in a pocket of the camera case as it’s so small and light so won’t get lost. This was the simplest camera to PC transfer I’ve ever done. A great little device for a fiver.

worked fine for micro sd. didnt seem to slow the cheap sd card i was using. you do have to put the micro sd in upside down compared to what the store page shows tho.
